The gallery exhibits 13 and 15C paintings by Fabriano, but you can also see two beautiful wood cycles from the second half of the 14C depicting Adoration of the wise men and the Mystery, in addition to a tapestry collection.

The establishment of the Civic Art Gallery of Fabriano dates back to 1862, when the city acquired a first group of works, previously owned the assets of ecclesiastical bodies, expropriated following the birth of the unified Italian state. The first construction exhibition was housed in several rooms of the same town hall, the old Palace Chiavelli, and already included major pictorial artists Fabriano the centuries XIV and XV, as the Triptych of Allegretto Nuzi, and the Dormition of the Virgin of Antonio da Fabriano . Since 1994, acquired in the meantime groups of painted wood sculpture of the fourteenth century, the civic collection of works of art finds its ultimate and present location inside the old Hospital of Santa Maria of the Good Jesus.
