THE MEDIEVAL ROUTE

Certain areas of this itinerary boast singular constructions of medieval origin: some examples are the castles which populate the surrounding area of Arcevia. This itinerary illustrates the distinctiveness and elegance of the Museums, Churches, Abbeys and other antique monuments present in the towns of Arcevia and Serra San Quirico. Following the route further, the visitor will encounter the suggestive Grotte di Frasassi (Frasassi caves) near Genga; the caves constitute complex karsts which instigate an emotional subterranean journey through a network of narrow passages, among stalactites and stalagmites. Nearby and not to be missed are also the thermal springs of Terme di S. Vittore, famous for the therapeutic benefits of their sulphuric waters. See teh video below:
