Marche your best destination in 2016

The Guardian
suggest our region how one of the most beautiful destination to get a holiday in 2016.
The Guardian: "Le Marche, a region halfway up the eastern side of Italy’s boot, is slowly being discovered by Brits: visitor numbers were up 24% in the year to August, though from a very low base. And tourists are staying there longer – enjoying the region’s beaches, hilltop villages, art-filled towns and great outdoors for their own sake, rather than making a quick foray from Umbria or Abruzzo.

Hospitality in Le Marche used to be in staid business hotels or pack-’em-in beachside billets, with (uninspiring) half-board compulsory in summer. But a younger generation has taken the British concept of bed-and-breakfast to their hearts."

There' s always time for a mouth - watering stop to taste at one' s leisure the famous fish soup or chowder, the stockfish with potatoes, meats cooked in porchetta or grilled, the Fabriano salami, the tripe alla canapina, the vincisgrassi pasta, rabbit with potacchio, all served by a nice glass of Docwine, like Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Lacrima di Morro d' Alba, RossoConero and many others more.
